If you have an item that
you want to preserve and display, we can help you find a frame that meets your needs.
We specialize in framing and preserving original artwork, prints, posters,
needlework, certificates and small memorabilia. We use solid, reliable materials designed
for preserving the beauty of your treasures and professional methods to ensure your
satisfaction. Here are some things to
consider as you plan to preserve you treasured pieces:
 | Framing is an investment. Remember
the value of the article you are planning on displaying. Choose the best materials for the
type of article you wish to display. Quality materials and craftsmanship can turn an art
print or memorabilia into a valuable heirloom. We are here to inform and guide you in your
choices. |
 | Light can do significant damage.
Sun
light and strong artificial light can destroy works or art by bleaching certain pigments,
rapid oxidation, and weakening of paper. Items should never be hung in direct sunlight or
strong indirect light. We can offer assistance in choosing the lighting to best
enhance you pieces. |
 | Acid in paper products can stain or burn,
reducing the life of your piece. Fine prints, and artworks are usually
executed on high quality, acid-free materials. Contact with pulp content (highly acidic)
papers and mat boards should be avoided. Backs of artworks should touch only
acid-free material. Face matting is best with 100% rag content board, but if another
matting choice is made, the artwork should be lined with a 2-ply acid-free liner. |
